The Shadow of The Deep is the brainchild of Captain Robert Bellamy, leader of the Pirates. The exact date of the Shadow's construction was sometime around 740 AED.
Origin[]
The Shadow of the Deep was originally designed by Robert Bellamy around 740 AED while serving as a second class shipwright in the Roayl Navy shipwright service. The design was eventually stolen by Admiral Chase after Bellamy "disappears" after being shot down while testing a submersible prototype and falsely accused of selling classified ship designs to the Silver Empire and built in the same secret shipyard that was used to build Bellamy's prototype. After Dr. Hugo Eckener is turns up at Percussio's black market where he meets Bellamy again, Bellamy, now a pirate captain, Eckener and the rest of the pirate band break in to the secret shipyard and steals the ship, while Bellamy is also forced to deal with its many malfunctions.
Original design[]
The Shadow is a Line-of-Battle Ship with her main guns arrayed along the port side and her Fire Guns on the starboard side. The Shadow was involved in many cargo heists and encouters with the RN. Her first major engagement was the Battle of The Argean Sea on 13th Nethmon, 752 AED. Some of the Shadow's engagements are well known with others not so well known.
First refit[]
After being heavily damaged in the Battle of the Argean Sea, the ship was refitted to now include fire guns and cannons on both sides, in addition to having her fighter capacity increased from 2 to 5 as well as also carrying torpedo fighters.
Second refit[]
After the pirates retake South Haven and the Silver Empire starts to get desperate, the Shadow of the Deep is refitted a second time. In addition to having her height, width and length significantly increased, the new design is featuring turreted cannons. In addition to 3 turrets at the top, this new design also has 3 turrets under the belly.
